Temporary Position Overview Montgomery Custom Cabinets is seeking 4 temporary employees to provide additional support as the company works to meet production deadlines associated with the Delta Center remodel project. These employees will assist wherever needed to help keep production and material movement on schedule. Duties will primarily include assembling cabinets and loading/unloading cabinets, materials, and incoming shipments. For 2 of the 4 openings, candidates with previous carpentry, woodworking, cabinet making, or cabinet assembly experience are strongly preferred. These individuals will provide more hands-on assistance with cabinet assembly and production. The remaining positions can be filled by dependable candidates with warehouse, construction, production, or other general labor experience who are comfortable with physical work. Primary Responsibilities Assist with the assembly of cabinets and cabinet components. Follow basic instructions, measurements, and specifications during assembly. Use basic hand and power tools as needed based on experience. Load and unload completed cabinets, materials, and incoming shipments. Safely move cabinetry and materials throughout the shop and loading areas. Assist experienced cabinet makers and production employees with various tasks. Organize materials and keep production and work areas clean. Handle finished cabinetry carefully to prevent damage. Help the team maintain production timelines and meet project deadlines. Perform other general shop, warehouse, and production duties as assigned. Requirements Ability to work Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. for the duration of the approximately 2-week assignment. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential due to the project deadline. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift. Ability to safely lift and carry approximately 50 lbs. individually and assist with team lifts for larger or heavier cabinets and materials. Comfortable loading and unloading trucks and material shipments. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Good attention to detail and ability to handle finished products carefully. Comfortable working in a cabinet shop, production, warehouse, or construction-type environment. Basic knowledge of hand and power tool safety is preferred. Previous warehouse, construction, manufacturing, woodworking, or general labor experience is helpful. Preferred for 2 of the 4 Openings Previous carpentry, cabinet making, woodworking, millwork, or cabinet assembly experience. Experience using common woodworking and assembly tools. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Familiarity with cabinet components, hardware, and basic assembly methods. Ability to work independently on basic assembly tasks after receiving direction. Recruiter Insight Montgomery Custom Cabinets needs additional short-term help to ensure they can meet an upcoming deadline for their work on the Delta Center remodel project. They need 4 temporary employees for approximately 2 weeks. Ideally, 2 candidates will have some type of carpentry, cabinet making, woodworking, or cabinet assembly background and can provide more skilled assistance with assembling cabinets. The other 2 employees can be more general warehouse or labor candidates who can help with loading/unloading cabinets and material shipments, moving materials, and supporting the shop wherever needed.
