Description:
AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking a Cabinet Finisher for a client in Rocky Mount, VA! We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Finisher to join a growing team. This position is responsible for preparing, finishing, and restoring cabinetry to high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with staining, painting, sanding, and color matching, along with a strong eye for detail and craftsmanship.
Pay Rate:
$18.00/hour
Schedule:
8AM - 5PM
Location:
Rocky Mount, VA Key Responsibilities:
Finish, paint, stain, clean, sand, and prepare cabinetry and components Accurately color match damaged cabinets to restore them to pre-loss condition Operate cabinet finishing equipment including spray booths, spray guns, sanders, and other power tools Perform occasional on-site work including touch-ups, repairs, painting, and refinishing Maintain daily communication with technicians, builders, and the operations manager Follow all safety protocols and procedures Monitor and maintain inventory of finishing materials and supplies Properly sand solid wood and veneered cabinet surfaces Identify wood species, materials, colors, and grain patterns Proactively identify issues and recommend effective solutions
Qualifications:
Previous experience in cabinet finishing, woodworking, or a related field preferred Experience with painting, staining, sanding, and color matching techniques Ability to operate finishing equipment and power tools safely and effectively Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and problem-solving skills

Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to perform both shop work and occasional field work as needed #
