We are a small team of people and we are looking to bring in an experienced and talented woodworker to be one of our primary fabricators. We build everything from melamine cabinets to highly technical woodwork. Recent projects include rustic mass timber oak stair treads and landings; commercial laminate casework; curved banquettes; minimalist office furniture and cabinetry; retail displays; and kitchen cabinetry. Since we are a small group the person we hire would be involved in virtually every project. We are well equipped, with late model CNC equipment and robust classical machinery. We prioritize excellence in our craft and having delighted customers.

Job Description:

Fabricating of custom cabinetry and furniture per shop drawings Milling and machining solid wood components and assemblies Providing input on design, fabrication techniques, and other approaches to building product and shop setup Fabricating shop fixtures Setting up and optimizing shop processes Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety procedures Final sanding and detailing of completed assemblies

Qualifications:

Proficiency with a wide range of woodworking tools and equipment, both hand tools and production machinery Broad knowledge of woodworking materials and techniques Experience in craft-based and production-based wood products manufacturing Mechanical familiarity with woodworking equipment - troubleshoot and optimize machine setup Must have good listening skills Must be able to lift 50+ pounds periodically, shifting raw materials, fixtures, or finished goods. Must use shop-provided safety and material handling equipment when appropriate Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, as the duration of the shift may require Willingness to learn, and to try new approaches or tasks, based on their merits.
