As an Installer, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the precise and professional installation of our custom cabinets at client locations. Job Summary The Lead Cabinet Installer directs on-site installation teams and executes high-end, custom cabinetry projects. This role requires exceptional woodworking skills to handle complex angles, custom moldings, and premium finishes. The ideal candidate balances masterful craftsmanship with strong leadership to train staff, maintain quality control, and deliver excellent client service. This is both leadership and hands on/production based role. Key Responsibilities Craftsmanship & Installation Execute complex installations : Fit custom cabinetry, countertops, and wood/laminate casework featuring highly challenging dimensions and angles. Perform precision woodwork : Cut intricate crown moldings, scribes, miters, and bevels with flawless accuracy. Manage job site logistics : Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing project materials and tools. Leadership & Team Management Oversee installation crews : Supervise daily site operations to ensure all work meets strict company quality standards.
Scheduling :
Schedule what teams are going to what projects that are scheduled and also schedules work to finish trips and Service Work that need to be performed. Train junior installers : Mentor and develop lower-level team members to elevate their technical skills. Own project quality : Make final operational decisions regarding the team's workmanship and project execution. Communication & Project Tracking Liaise with stakeholders : Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, general contractors, and project managers. Report project status : Provide timely, accurate written and verbal progress updates to senior management. Manage project completion : Assess remaining tasks, complete "Work to Finish" logs, and accurately document required parts, adjustments, or re-orders.Qualifications & Skills Experience :
5+ years of professional custom cabinetry and finish cabinetry experience (Required). 2+ years of team leadership/management experienceLicensing :
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required).Technical Skill :
Advanced mastery of tape measures, blueprints, shop drawings, and specialized power tools.Core Competencies :
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strict attention to detail, strong organization, and high adaptability. Computer literate : knowledge of MS Office, INNERGY or other specialized ERP. Work Environment & Travel This job operates in a manufacturing environment and job sites. This role routinely is exposed to dust, fumes from wood finishing, and includes frequent operation of woodworking tools and machines. This position will require flexibility to travel to various client locations for installation projects. Occasional overnight stays may be necessary for installations located outside the immediate area. Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb ladders, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to lift products and supplies up to 50+ pounds. Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy cabinets and equipment. and performing the bending, twisting, and physical demands required for installation work. Position Type & Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position. This position is 4/10.5hr days and may require mandatory Friday work. The standard first-shift schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (10-hour shifts after lunch) with overtime as needed to hit production schedules.The standard installer schedules are:
Job site within 60 minutes of the shop: Monday through Thursday, 5:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Job site 60 to 90 minutes from the shop: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The installation team assigned to the project may agree on different start and end times, provided the day totals a full 12 working hours. If the team members do not reach agreement, the 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule applies.Overnight / Out
-of-Town Work (Job Sites More Than 90 Minutes from the Shop)Work Schedule:
Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Scope of Authority This position will lead a team of 10+ employees. Education & Experience- High School diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in carpentry, woodworking, or installation is advantageous.
- Computer literate, ability to read blueprints from a tablet.
- 5+ years Installation experience Required
- Must have a valid state driver's license
- Clean Driving Record within the last 5 years.
