Metalworking Specialist/Custom Builder Educated Solutions Corp - 3.6 New Berlin, WI Job Details Full-time | Contract $27 - $30 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Siding Mechanical blueprint interpretation Motion controls Teamwork Flooring installation Robotic systems Mechanical fabrication Power tools for woodworking Safety regulations Welders (tool) Siding installation Construction plans Measuring instruments Wood construction materials Full Job Description Our client, a custom builder of medical trailers and event transportation is seeking multiple Metalwork Specialists/Custom Builders to assist in large project automotive builds on a variety of Medical Trailers (all involving copper piping). This role pays $27-$30hr based on experience, involves NO TRAVEL, and works in a climate-controlled facility in New Berlin, WI. Hours are standard at 6am -3:30pm with flexibility and ability for optional overtime. The role comes with a strong benefit plan and great flexibility for work/life balance. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of a variety of building projects involving fabrication/carpentry materials including, wood, steel, copper, sheet metal, aluminum siding, fiberglass, roofing and weatherproof materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The incumbent of this role will: Perform metalworking, fabrication, and pipefitting on a variety of trailers and vehicles. Perform light welding to comply with both safety and structural integrity of trailers and automotive builds. Use creativity and teamwork to tackle a variety of custom projects using carpentry skills. Fabricate and assemble framework and build items, large and small, including copper, steel and aluminum structures Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass, siding and weatherproof material) according to measurements Build cabinetry, window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items Lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible Carve and assemble internal trailer components - furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items - and install them where designated Inspect and conduct repairs or maintenance Use creativity and teamwork to tackle a variety of custom projects using strong carpentry/fabrication skills. Qualifications 2+ years experience "building stuff" in the fabrication/metal trade. Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials including, wood, steel, sheet metal, copper, aluminum siding, fiberglass, roofing and weatherproof materials Understanding or experience with light welding Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) Ability to read technical documents and drawings Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work with computers, machines and motion-control robots. Strong communication skills and ability to work with teams.
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
