Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Pallet Builder to join our manufacturing and logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing durable and reliable pallets used for shipping and storage purposes. The ideal candidate will possess strong carpentry skills, experience with various construction tools, and a keen eye for detail to ensure pallets meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Assemble pallets using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with specifications. Measure and cut materials accurately based on schematics, blueprints, or verbal instructions. Inspect completed pallets for defects, stability, and safety hazards before delivery or storage. Select appropriate materials such as wood, metal, or composite components for pallet construction. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move raw materials and finished pallets safely. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to quality standards. Assist in the repair or refurbishment of damaged pallets as needed. Follow safety protocols related to the use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Requirements Prior experience in construction estimating, carpentry (trim, frame, metal stud framing), or manufacturing environments preferred. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading. Knowledge of construction site practices including heavy lifting, concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and drywall finishing. Familiarity with woodworking, metal fabrication, fixture installation, cabinetry, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, stucco application, caulking, water damage restoration, mold remediation, plumbing basics, electrical experience, masonry work, remodeling projects, CNC machinery operation, assembly processes, and restoration industry standards. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads consistently. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across various trades. Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of OSHA standards related to construction and manufacturing environments.
