We specialize in high-end architectural woodwork, commercial casework, custom cabinetry, and specialty millwork. We are looking for an experienced Commercial Cabinet Maker / Architectural Millwork Craftsman to join our team. This is a skilled position requiring 5-7 years of professional commercial cabinetmaking, woodworking, or architectural millwork experience. Our work includes high-end commercial projects in Washington, DC, the Nation's Capital, where quality, craftsmanship, and precision are expected. We operate in a fast-paced production environment with aggressive 12-, 16-, and 26-week project schedules. What We Build High-end custom commercial cabinetry Architectural millwork and casework Architectural wall panels Custom reception desks Architectural doors Veneer work and veneer panels Specialty architectural woodwork Laminated and solid-wood components What You'll Do Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets, casework, and architectural millwork Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural drawings, blueprints, and cut lists Perform accurate measuring, layout, cutting, and assembly Work with veneers, laminates, MDF, plywood, hardwoods, and other woodworking materials Operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools Perform cabinet assembly, fitting, hardware installation, and detailed woodworking Maintain tight tolerances and exceptional quality standards Identify and solve fabrication issues Work efficiently to meet demanding production schedules What We're Looking For 5-7 years of professional commercial cabinetmaking or architectural millwork experience required Strong background in commercial cabinetry, casework, millwork, or custom woodworking Ability to read and work from shop drawings and architectural drawings Strong understanding of cabinet construction and woodworking techniques Experience with woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools Experience working with veneer, laminates, plywood, MDF, and solid wood Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship Strong measuring and layout skills Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven commercial cabinet shop Schedule Full-time 40+ hours per week Overtime when needed to meet project schedules In-person position in Waukesha, Wisconsin Why American Woodwork?
