Job Description
Trident Seafoods is North America's largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company. Summary :
The Facilities Operator II will operate, maintain, and repair various machinery and equipment in a designated area such as edible oil production, meal production, water treatment and fuel farm.Key Responsibilities:
Uses hand tools to perform basic adjustments and maintenance to equipment under the supervision of a senior operator. Monitors various operation indicators to such as fuel or material levels and auger speeds to ensure equipment is operating properly. Assists with other operating tasks under direction of a senior operator. Performs or supervises startup and shut down of equipment in assigned area as appropriate. Performs basic adjustments and maintenance independently as directed by a supervisor or senior operator. Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment and machinery. Collects, logs and maintains information and data as needed to meet Trident and regulatory standards. Observes mechanical devices in operation to detect and locate issues. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Maintains a working knowledge of company, industry and regulatory SOP's, codes and standards.Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before A minimum of 2 years' experience in applicable operator position or similar experience OSHA 10 and 30 certifications Basic mechanical ability High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or Trade School certification in a related field Proficient with computers and familiar with CMMS programsHAZWOPER

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds frequently up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
