Job Summary The Industrial Centrifuge Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of centrifuge equipment used for material separation, such as liquids from solids. This role is critical in industries like Petrochemical, Refining, Industrial Wastewater Treatment and Food Processing Facilities for dewatering applications and waste management. - 21 Years of age or greater
- Transportation to and from the job site
Experience:
Prior experience in industrial centrifuge operations or a similar mechanical role preferred, but not required.
Technical Knowledge:
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in challenging environments, including high elevations.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work day/night shifts and travel to various industrial sites if required. Responsibilities
Equipment Operation:
Set up, start up, and shut down decanter centrifuge, and ancillary equipment like pumps, valves and tanks
Process Monitoring:
Adjust speed, temperature, and flow rates to optimize performance, ensuring high quality in effluent streams and cake dryness.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance, including lubrication and wear items replacement; identify and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Chemical Handling:
Prepare feed stock by injecting polymers or other chemical additives to facilitate material separation.
Quality Control & Logging:
Collect and log samples for laboratory analysis; maintain accurate records of production data and equipment status.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
