Variable Night Shifts (Primarily 7:00 PM-3:30 AM and 9:30 PM-6:00 AM)
Schedule:
5x8-Hour Shifts Position Overview Seeking an experienced Senior Sterile Processing Technician to support Sterile Processing operations in a busy acute care hospital. This role requires extensive hospital-based SPD experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of instrument processing and sterilization. This position may occasionally function as a Shift Lead and requires strong communication, critical-thinking, and organizational skills. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of Sterile Processing experience in a hospital setting Minimum 3 years of Team Lead, Preceptor, or Shift Lead experience Previous Travel Assignment Experience Required CBSPD or
HSPA/CRCST
Certification Current BLS Certification Experience working independently in high-volume surgical environments Required Equipment Experience Robotics Da Vinci Xi Sterilization Equipment Getinge Autoclave Amsco Autoclave Steris V-Pro Steris System 1E Decontamination Equipment Getinge 86 Series Washer Triton 72 Ultrasonic Cleaner Surgical Specialty Experience Required General Surgery Orthopedics & Total Joints Orthopedic Trauma Trauma Surgery Open Heart/Cardiac Vascular Neuro/Spine OB/GYN Urology Endoscopy Robotics Ophthalmology ENT Plastics Podiatry Key Responsibilities Decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments Endoscope and scope reprocessing Biological and chemical monitoring Steam sterilization testing and documentation Loaner tray processing and management Case cart preparation Inventory management and equipment documentation Compliance with infection prevention and sterilization standards Provide mentorship and leadership support to SPD staff when needed Schedule & Call Requirements Primary Shifts 7:00 PM
