Job Title:
Cleanroom Production Operator Job Description The Cleanroom Production Operator works in a regulated cleanroom environment to assemble cartridges and reagent kit components in accordance with cGMP and ISO guidelines. This role follows detailed manufacturing SOPs, operates production line equipment, and completes manufacturing work orders accurately and on time. The position contributes directly to the production of high-quality medical device products while maintaining strict safety, cleanliness, and documentation standards. Responsibilities Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO standards or guidelines as they apply to manufacturing activities. Assemble cartridges and reagent kit components with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency. Adhere to and accurately follow all manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Organize and maintain the production floor area, tools, and supplies used during daily work to ensure a clean and efficient workspace. Work independently to complete assigned tasks and effectively collaborate as part of an assembly line team. Maintain a safe work environment by handling chemicals and operating equipment in accordance with safety procedures. Operate all manufacturing line equipment required for production in the cleanroom environment. Resolve routine line issues promptly and proactively suggest improvements to processes and workflows. Follow the manufacturing schedule and complete manufacturing work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Review completed device manufacturing records and work orders for accuracy, identify and correct errors, and submit finished documentation for quality release. Serve as a role model for cGMP-compliant manufacturing practices and support a culture of quality and compliance. Assist with special projects as requested, supporting new initiatives and process improvements. Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall production goals and team success. Essential Skills Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in production or manufacturing environments. Ability to follow and adhere to SOPs in a regulated environment. Understanding of or exposure to cGMP practices. Ability to operate production or assembly equipment safely and accurately. Strong attention to detail when assembling components and completing documentation. Capability to work both independently and as part of an assembly line team. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a cleanroom or similar controlled environment. Basic familiarity with packaging processes in a production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in cleanroom operations is highly beneficial. Background in medical device manufacturing or a similar regulated industry is a plus. Previous experience in fast-paced environments such as fast food, retail, or high-volume production is advantageous. Comfort working with manufacturing documentation, device records, and work orders. Willingness to learn and operate various types of manufacturing line equipment. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify line issues and suggest process improvements. Strong reliability, punctuality, and commitment to meeting production schedules. Ability to support special projects and adapt to evolving production needs. Why Work Here? Work is performed on a manufacturing floor using production and assembly line equipment to build medical device components. The setting is structured and process-driven, with clear SOPs and quality standards guiding daily tasks. There are two open positions on the first shift, offering a consistent daytime schedule in a large, new facility designed to support efficient and safe production operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.16/hr.
