Performs secondary process in support of manufacturing operations. This includes degrease, lube, etch, anodize, chromate conversion coating, and roll sort. Performs daily operation of wastewater treatment systems. This includes chemical tanks recharge, daily pH monitoring, flow controls, filter press pumping and filter cake dryer operation.Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Adheres to production schedules as required by the company and/or customer. Ensures process specifications identified on work order are followed. Ensures processing tanks are at proper chemical operating levels. Performs and monitors transfer of wastewater from containment through filter press. Performs roll sorting of product as required. Follows established safety and environmental guidelines. Inventories and reports requirements for chemicals and supplies. Performs record keeping and housekeeping. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Can be trained to perform secondary heat treat process' in support of manufacturing operations for production and includes research and development. This includes all thermal processes (heat treat, aging, vacuum operations) for all products. QualificationsOTHER COMPETENCIES
Language Skills:
Ability to speak and understand English. Ability to read and comprehend specific instructions, understand written in English. Basic ability to write numbers and letters.Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out routine multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables. Ability to concentrate for long periods of time on given task. Education and/orExperience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to bend. The employee is occasionally required to walk; and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Throughout the day the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The work environment can be hot during high temperature summer days. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Compensation 2nd shift differential In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $18.00-$26.00 Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
