The Process Assistant provides direct hands-on assistance for production processes. Primary focus will be supporting direct production activities, including raw material staging, packaging staging, assisting with charging raw materials, general housekeeping and other duties as assigned. This position will be a rotating day, swing and nights shift position. This position is located in the Perris, CA. facility. Essential Job Responsibilities & Duties Accurately completes required paperwork and documentation, including the use computer tracking systems. Maintains availability of staging inventory of micro-add raw materials. Assists with drum banding and labeling. Executes trailer readiness acceptance program (TRAP).
Prepares packaged resin for shipment:
drum palletizing, banding, and labeling. Work flexible hours and willingness to work overtime based on production demands Assists with Hazardous Waste drum inventory and other safety inventories, as required Assist with shipping documentation, including but not limited to receiving raw materials into data tracking applications Inspects and loads tankers, totes, and drums for shipment Operates yard jockey, as needed Performs painting, scraping, and cleaning of the work areas, as designated. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit for long periods, as well as occasionally be required to climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Lifting requirement:
Up to the maximum safety-recommended 55 pounds Exposure to extreme temperatures, hazardous chemicals, and rotating shifts Work Environment Mainly a manufacturing facility, where exposed to chemical processing, outdoor work environment, moving mechanical parts, forklifts, yard jockey, heavy pallets, moderate to loud noise level, and air-borne dust, powders, and fumes. While working, will be required to wear various personal protective equipment (e.g., clothing, gloves, goggles, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, respirator, fall protection, disposable coverall suits, etc.). Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be available to work a rotation swing shift and mid shift. Manufacturing or warehousing experience, preferred. Ability to drive or learn to drive a forklift and yard jockey. Good communication skills and ability to work as a team member with all departments Knowledge of good documentation practices, preferred. General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Work, and PowerPoint. Pay Scale $22.00 Per Hour
