A qualified Floor Attendant must perform repetitive duties to safely operate various types of material handling equipment to deliver material, product and other production supplies to various production and non-production areas throughout the facility. The operator understands and performs all tasks in conformance with posted instructions and required documentation. The operator is expected to report all equipment malfunctions and any damages incurred to product or facility equipment caused by forklift operations to a supervisor immediately. 1) Demonstrate safe and efficient operation of various material handling equipment. 2) Deliver material, supplies, work-in-process product to various continuous and non-continuous production machines in or between departments throughout the facility. 3) When setting up equipment at machines, goes into staging area to roll reels into position. 4) Operate both a floor sweeping unit to clean factory isles and material handling equipment with dumpster receptacles to collect disposable items in the factory. 5) Maintain satisfactory housekeeping status of both inside and outside staging, storage, waste disposal and travel route areas on the facility grounds. 6) Perform daily equipment safety inspection and log all information on safety inspection reports. Report any needed repairs or safety hazards to immediate supervisor. 7) Attend forklift training class for requalification instruction on a 3-year basis or upon incident. These are the general duties required to fulfill the Floor Attendant job description, not a detailed description of all work required. New duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the changing demands of the business. This is a 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) M-F position.
