Sterile Processing Technician - Surgical Services - FT - Evenings - MHM

Summary:

Receives, cleans, sterilizes and stores surgical instruments and equipment.

• 5 days per week; 1pm
• 9:30pm with weekend rotations
• SPD education and/or SPD experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.

Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.

Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.

Education and Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Required Work Experience:

One (1) year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred.

Other Information:

Successful completion of a recognized training program in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
