  • 5:00 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_176473 Spherion Gainesville, FL seeks a Battery Processing Technician for a manufacturing client.
Essential role for maintaining/optimizing production equipment: test, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

FT, M-F 1st and 2nd Shifts
Pay Rate:
$15/hr
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot/repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment (PLCs, power supplies, drives, gauges, test equipment).
  • Daily troubleshooting of production floor equipment (calibration bays, rework areas, etc.).
  • Plan/perform work using strong knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment per company safety/OSHA procedures.
  • Advise operators/leads on safe operation of electrical/mechanical equipment.
  • Inform management/leads of potential electrical/mechanical problems/dangers.
  • Maintain required performance/maintenance records.
  • Perform directed preventive maintenance and facility maintenance.

PM Skills:
  • Effective communication (written/oral).
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong prioritization and adherence to procedures.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to follow instructions.
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles; able to diagnose/restore equipment.
  • High school diploma/GED required (higher education a plus).
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Experience operating soldering irons, electrical test equipment, and hand tools.
  • Forklift license/certification (or willingness to obtain).
