Job Description

Job Overview Join Poly Coatings team as a Metal Plating Process Technician! In this vital role, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring metal plating processes that enhance the durability, appearance, and functionality of various components. Your inputs will ensure that plating operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, contributing to the production of high-quality finished products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced plating technologies in a fast-paced environment where precision and attention to detail are paramount. Responsibilities Prepare and set up plating tanks according to specified process parameters. Monitor plating processes throughout production runs, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of plated parts for defects, uniformity, and adherence to specifications. Maintain detailed records of quality checks for traceability and compliance purposes. Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize process efficiency. Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling, waste disposal, and equipment operation to protect yourself and your team. Collaborate with quality control teams to implement improvements and resolve any plating-related issues swiftly. Qualifications Prior experience in metal finishing or manufacturing is highly preferred but not mandatory. Understanding of manufacturing processes, process controls, and safety procedures related to plating operations. Ability to read technical diagrams, process specifications, and safety data sheets with ease. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality finished products. Good communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating with team members. Physical ability to handle high value materials, operate equipment safely, and perform routine inspections in a manufacturing setting. Willing to cross train for supporting processes.

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
