If you have a heart for working in women's health and 2 years of instrument technician experience and 2 years of experience in hospital materials management department, we encourage you to apply for this outstanding opportunity! We are offering a $1000 Sign on bonus! Responsibilities Responsible for the care and preparation of surgical instruments and supplies in accordance with proper aseptic technique and principles of sterilization and instrument handling Maintains established inventory levels by checking supplies and equipment. Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory, submits requisitions, collects and distributes instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment. Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies and equipment, and assembles, wraps and sterilizes trays of instruments. Follows proper Standard Precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas. Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment. Performs environmental maintenance duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas. Performs the appropriate testing of all sterilizers and keeps accurate records. Verifies that equipment functions properly, requisitions for equipment maintenance, repair or replacement, and removes defective equipment. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Instrument technician experience, 2 years or equivalent experience in hospital materials management department. Certified Sterile Processing diploma or ability to be certified within 8 months. Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment. Ability to communicate accurately and concisely. BLS (AHA or Red Cross) and evidence of a negative Tb test within the last 6 months Why You'll Love Working Here -
