Chemical Production /
Compounding Technician Location:
Canton, GA | Full-Time About the Position Isotec International is a specialty chemical manufacturer seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety and quality focused Chemical Production / Compounding Technician to join our manufacturing team in Canton, GA. This is a hands-on position responsible for producing liquid chemical products through batch manufacturing and compounding processes. The ideal candidate has previous experience in chemical manufacturing, chemical compounding, batch production, or a similar industrial manufacturing environment and is comfortable working with chemicals, production equipment, and detailed manufacturing instructions. This is a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment where attention to detail, safety, product quality, and the ability to consistently follow established processes are critical. Key Responsibilities Safely manufacture chemical products according to established batch tickets, formulas, SOPs, and work instructions Operate and monitor industrial production equipment, including: Blenders Chemical reactors Stand mixers Hot oil heating systems Chiller/cooling systems Vacuum systems Pumps, valves, and related processing equipment Accurately weigh, measure, and add raw materials according to batch instructions Handle and transfer chemical raw materials, including hazardous chemicals, in accordance with established safety procedures Monitor batch temperatures, mixing, processing times, and other critical process parameters Perform required in-process checks and communicate abnormalities or deviations to supervision Maintain accurate production and batch records Follow all company SOPs, safety procedures, quality requirements, and PPE requirements Operate a forklift safely for movement of raw materials, containers, and finished products Maintain a clean and organized production area Identify and report equipment problems, process issues, quality concerns, and potential safety hazards Assist with equipment cleaning, setup, changeovers, and routine production-area maintenance Work effectively with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Management teams Participate in continuous improvement and process improvement activities Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, chemical compounding, batch production, or a similar industrial manufacturing environment Previous forklift operating experience Experience following batch tickets, formulas, SOPs, or detailed work instructions Experience safely handling and working around chemicals Ability to consistently follow PPE and chemical safety requirements Ability to operate industrial production equipment safely Ability to read and understand written instructions and production documentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team Preferred Experience with hot oil heating systems and/or industrial chillers Previous experience in polyurethane, adhesives, coatings, plastics, polymers, or specialty chemical manufacturing Experience working within an
ISO 9001
quality management system Experience with batch documentation, in-process quality checks, and production records Experience identifying process problems and helping implement corrective or preventive actions Safety & Quality Safety is always our first priority.
