This is an entry-level role with real career growth potential . Many of our team members started in this position and advanced into higher-level technical and leadership roles. What You'll Do As a Process Technician, you'll be hands-on in our chemical manufacturing operations: Operate batch chemical processing equipment following detailed instructions Weigh, measure, and add raw materials to ensure accurate production Monitor processes and identify potential safety or operational concerns Support material handling, equipment cleaning, and production setup Load/unload materials and operate forklifts and other equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures This role requires more than following instructions. You'll be expected to: Monitor processes and recognize early signs of issues (temperature, pressure, flow changes) Make decisions based on what you're seeing—not just what's written Communicate concerns quickly to prevent safety or quality issues What We're Looking For We're not just hiring for a position—we're looking for the right mindset. A critical thinker who can recognize and respond to issues Reliable with a strong work ethic Willing to learn and grow in a technical environment who can follow and understand batch instructions Comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial setting monitoring and evaluating process conditions Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively Basic math skills Previous experience in manufacturing or chemical operations is a plus Work Environment & Schedule 12-hour shifts (day/night rotation, weekends as needed) Indoor and outdoor work in varying temperatures (32°F-105°F) Required use of PPE, including respirators and fire-retardant uniforms Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs regularly Stand, walk, and climb for extended periods (up to 12 hours) Work at heights and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting Why Join MFG Chemical?
