Key Responsibilities Production & Operations:
Operate, monitor, and perform setup/line changeovers on packaging machinery, case formers/packers, weighing systems, pneumatic systems, and conveying equipment. Determine necessary corrective actions to minimize downtime, boost productivity, and maintain continuous operations. Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues at the operator level. Perform chemical compounding and material handling as required.Safety & Compliance:
Prioritize safety above all else for yourself and your team members. Perform daily equipment and area safety inspections. Identify and immediately report safety hazards or facility risks to management. Adhere strictly to company policies, SOPs, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).Quality Assurance:
Perform routine quality control (QC) tests on final products and accurately enter data into the quality management software. Identify quality deficiencies promptly and collaborate with management to resolve issues.Teamwork & Facility Maintenance:
Communicate effectively with team members across shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and changeovers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work space (5S standards). Safely and efficiently operate a forklift for material transport. Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) following established schedules.Qualifications & Skills Required:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with automated packaging equipment, pneumatics, conveying systems, or chemical compounding.Troubleshooting:
Strong problem-solving abilities and root-cause analysis skills for mechanical/equipment issues.Attributes:
Self-directed, strong work ethic, positive attitude toward process improvement, and eager to learn.Flexibility:
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and shift work as needed.Preferred:
1+ years of experience safely operating a forklift in an industrial setting. Previous experience utilizing a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) system. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods during an 8-12 hour shift.
