NRP-IA Production

The Production Technician is responsible for the production of quality products while operating at the highest level of efficiency and maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA. This position is also charged with keeping accurate production records to comply with HACCP and PVP programs. DUTIES Learn and retain procedures for start-up, operating, and stopping machinery Constant monitoring of machinery to identify maintenance issues Continuous machine maintenance in accordance with procedures Continuous operation of computerized dryer equipment, augers, hammermills, tanks, pumps, bins, grinders, and other equipment Frequent performance of wash-out procedures of incoming/outgoing tanker trucks in accordance with procedures Frequent loading and unloading of product trucks in accordance with procedures Daily sample taking and analysis in accordance with procedures Daily cleaning of office, restrooms, and conference room Responsible for all other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma, or equivalent certification preferred Proficient oral and written communication skills Effective listening skills Ability to keep accurate records

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Climbing ladders up to 45 feet Lifting minimum of 50 pounds Constant activities of work environment include standing, walking, balancing, bending/stooping, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, pulling a resistance of 20 pounds Occasional crawling Exposure to animal dander, dust, sulfite allergens Exposure to constant loud noise Regular overtime work required Varying shifts may be possible

DUTIES Responsible for production duties and all duties related to production Responsible for written documentation of production activities that occur on the days or night shift Ensure that production goals are met safely and timely. Loading and unloading of trucks Responsible for all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
