Job Description
Lead the Line. Drive Quality. Support the Team. We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Lead Operator to support plating line operations, production flow, safety, and employee development within our manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring employees, and taking ownership of daily production activities. The Lead Operator plays a key role in maintaining process quality, ensuring production documentation accuracy, supporting chemical controls, and helping the team operate safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Production & Process Oversight Operate and oversee plating line processes according to specifications and production requirements Verify routers, part counts, process instructions, and inspection requirements in ERP system Monitor plating conditions including temperatures, line speeds, and chemical concentrations Assist with troubleshooting production and quality issues as they arise Chemical & Quality Support Perform and document chemical additions as directed Inspect plated parts for thickness, adhesion, and finish quality Communicate quality concerns and nonconformances promptly Support rework activities and process corrections when needed Leadership & Team Support Train and mentor Rackers and Assistant Operators on work instructions and safety procedures Verify team members are following proper processes and scanning procedures Ensure Team Boards are updated accurately and employees understand displayed information Communicate effectively with Quality, Maintenance, and Supervisors regarding production status Safety & Compliance Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing PPE, spill response, and lockout/tagout procedures Support housekeeping and organization standards throughout the department Perform tank checks and identify equipment concerns for maintenance follow-up What We're Looking For ✔ Previous manufacturing or plating experience preferred ✔ Leadership mindset with strong communication skills ✔ Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced production environment ✔ Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy ✔ Comfortable training and supporting team members ✔ Technical school certificate or related manufacturing experience preferred
