This role collaborates closely with Surgery, OB, ED, and other departments. Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and equipment Prepare instrument trays, case carts, crash carts, procedure kits, and drape packs Perform and document sterilization monitoring (biological and chemical testing) Identify instruments needing repair, sharpening, or replacement Maintain inventory, par levels, and supply rotation; remove outdated or damaged items Support operating rooms during procedures as needed Utilize department systems (e.g., Lawson, SPM, Omnicell); serve as Super User for at least one system Follow all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards Qualifications High school diploma required CRCST or CBSPD certification required Basic computer and intermediate Excel skills Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and ability to perform physical work Schedule and hours may vary based on departmental needs.
