Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for the movement and delivery of raw materials, production parts and/or needed production supplies as dictated by production needs. Using physical exertion, mechanical or electrical material handling devices to ensure production machines and/or operator stations are supplied with materials to maintain production requirements. Responsible to pick up and dispose of scrap at shifts conclusion. This position will report directly to the Shift Supervisor. This position is on 2nd shift. Monday - friday 3p-11p, with OT every other weekend.
Minimum Qualifications:
A person in this position shall possess the minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent, ie. GED). Must be able to read and write and follow directions and use a personal computer. Individual must be a qualified forklift operator. Individuals should be knowledgeable of TS16949. Individual must complete specified courses as per training matrix. Physical capabilities required of the individual involve ability to do heavy lifting (over 40 pounds).
Essential Functions:
Moves materials and production parts to and/or from operator station according to pre-established operator text specifications and scheduled production runs. Handles a wide variety of containers, boxes, barrels, skids, etc. Moves using physical exertion or hand carts, barrel cart, electric cart, forklift, etc., ensuring all production parts are processed according to scheduled runs. Organizes materials and production parts to ensure proper material is delivered and/or removed from operator station while using established FIFO procedures. Scanning is required in compliance with pre-established procedures (scrap). Rack inventory system is to be used when storing product in rack locations. Delivers production parts and/or scrap to appropriate operation or MRB area according to procedures. Consistently checks for damaged dunnage. Immediately notifies Supervisor of any discrepancies in production parts or raw material. MRB area is to be cleaned out daily (5S). All disposition product is either taken to sort location or entered in MRB rack inventory. Picks up scrap every shift. Maintains the scrap area in clean and organized condition properly storing the scrap in the appropriate container. Dust collection and sludge dumpsters are to be audited and dumped as needed. Performs daily PM on forklift per check sheet. Fills propane tanks every shift as needed. Follows departmental procedures and work instructions. Performs training duties as assigned or required. Knowledgeable about MSDS, quality, and environmental policies. Must know how to locate, access, and review associated policies. Must be able to perform Overtime as required. Perform layered audits as required Active in LEAN initiatives,5S, and effectively addressing safety issues as they arise. Maintains work area and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly condition. Properly stores dunnage, supplies, materials, equipment, etc. Completes records and forms as required by established procedures. Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner reporting all problems, irregularities or suggested corrective actions immediately to supervision. Performs other miscellaneous duties as required or directed. Champion Diversity & Inclusion in line with Company guidelines.
