Production Technician/Powder Coating Location:

Hours:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:00pm
Pay:
$19/hr. Production Technician - Powder Coating is responsible for preparing, handling, and finishing metal components through the powder coating process. This role focuses on surface preparation, application support, curing, and quality inspection to ensure durable and consistent finishes that meet production standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare parts for coating through cleaning, masking, sanding, and pre-treatment processes Inspect coated parts for defects such as runs, thin coverage, contamination, or uneven finish Perform touch-ups and rework as needed to ensure product quality standards are met Monitor oven temperatures and cure times to ensure proper adhesion and durability Maintain accurate production records and report on any quality or equipment issues Follow all safety procedures, including PPE usage and chemical handling guidelines Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of coating equipment and work areas Support continuous improvement efforts related to efficiency, quality, and waste reduction Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in powder coating, painting, or finishing processes in a manufacturing setting Familiarity with industrial coating equipment and safety procedures Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and production schedules Strong attention to detail and quality standards Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate to heavy materials as required Physical Requirements Regular standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs. depending on production needs Exposure to heat, powder materials, and industrial environments Work Environment Fast-paced production floor setting Exposure to powder coating materials and industrial machinery Required use of PPE including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing
