08/19/2026 2nd Shift Process Technician fitchburg, MA 01420 2nd Shift Process Technician Micron Solutions is a multifaceted contract manufacturing organization specializing in thermoplastic injection molding, precision machining and finishing, and silver-plated medical sensors for disposable electrodes. We partner with companies of all sizes to deliver manufacturing and assembly solutions that support their success. Our 120,000-square-foot facility in Fitchburg, MA supports projects from concept through commercialization. The 2nd Shift Process Technician is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining injection molding processes to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality requirements. This position supports production operations by monitoring equipment, resolving process issues, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Key Responsibilities Set up and start injection molding machines according to production schedules and approved process parameters. Set up and maintain auxiliary equipment required for production. Troubleshoot molding machines, equipment, and process-related issues to minimize downtime. Respond to machine alarms and make process adjustments as needed. Perform mold and job changeovers. Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and product quality throughout production. Complete and maintain process setup sheets, process logs, and other required production documentation. Ensure line clearances are completed and documented at the end of production runs. Verify products meet quality requirements using measuring and inspection equipment. Enter and maintain accurate production information in the
IQMS/ERP
system. Generate and complete required production and scrap reports. Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain a basic understanding of the company's Quality Management System and applicable ISO requirements. Support customer, vendor, and audit activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) preferred but not required. 3-5 + years of injection molding processing experience required. Ability to work with mathematical concepts Ability to use dimensional equipment and read and understand blue prints
ISO 9001
management and implementation experience is desired. Proficiency in the use of computer-based ERP systems is required. Strong verbal and written and communication skills required. Must be capable of generating/editing clear and concise procedures, policies, and flow charts. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm Please note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
