Our dairy cooperative is seeking a regular, full-time Machine Operator for our dryer A operation on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) who will provide for proper drying and particle formation, sampling and testing of products following state and federal government regulation. Comply with precise American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) standards regarding particle size distribution, residual moisture content, particle shape of the product and powder specification. Ensure compliance with state and federal government regulations. Maintain dryer facilities in a sanitary manner, including Clean in Place (CIP) washing of equipment, and cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings, light fixtures, drains, and other similar environmental areas. Schedule flexibility, williingmess to work overtime, weekends, holiday and rotate shift as required. At times overtime, weekend work, holiday work, and shift rotation will be mandatory. Pay range:
\$29.29/hr. - \$31.14/hr. plus 7% shift differential for 2nd shift Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum high school diploma, GED or HiSET. Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred, in the food industry would be a plus. Experience with manufacturing safety requirements, lock-out/tag-out preferred. Additional Notes and Work Environment Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. Moderate physical effort. Requires the occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 70 lbs. Requires the occasional handling and maneuvering of objects weighing more than 100 lbs. Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
