Job Overview We are partnering with one of our growing clients in the medical coatings industry to identify a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician . This role is ideal for someone with a manufacturing, production, laboratory, or technical background who is comfortable working in a controlled environment and following precise processes. The Production Technician will support the manufacturing of specialized coatings used in medical applications, ensuring products are produced safely, accurately, and according to established quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform production and coating processes according to established work instructions, procedures, and specifications. Set up, operate, monitor, and clean production equipment used in the coating process. Accurately measure, mix, and handle materials and chemicals used in production. Follow detailed batch records, production schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Inspect materials and finished products for quality, consistency, and potential defects. Record production data, measurements, lot numbers, and other required documentation accurately. Perform in-process quality checks and communicate any abnormalities or deviations to the appropriate team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area in accordance with company procedures. Follow all applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements when handling chemicals and production materials. Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and other production personnel to resolve process issues. Assist with equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and process improvements as needed. Support inventory management by properly labeling, storing, and tracking production materials. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and waste reduction. Perform other production-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical, manufacturing, engineering, or science-related education is a plus. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, laboratory, medical device, chemical processing, coatings, or a similar regulated environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise written procedures. Comfortable working with measurements, production documentation, and basic calculations. Ability to work safely with chemicals, production materials, and manufacturing equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in a production environment. Experience working under ISO, GMP, FDA, or other regulated quality standards is a plus. Work Environment Manufacturing/production environment supporting medical applications. May require working with chemicals, coatings, and specialized production equipment. Must be comfortable wearing required PPE and following strict safety and quality procedures. Requires standing, walking, and performing hands-on production activities for extended periods.
