Job Description
SUMMARY:
responsible for assisting in maintaining day-to-day production and processing schedules. Assists Lead Processing to assures processing schedules are met and production output meets quality control and food safety/security standards while maximizing cost-effectiveness; upholds plant operating procedures and controls including SSOPs, HACCP plans, process control authorities and other regulatory requirements to assure plant operates under USDA, FDA and other standards.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following and are listed in order of priority. 1. Assists Lead Processor in the implementation and maintenance of all SSOPs, HACCP Plans and other regulatory plans within the Facility. 2. Responsible for implementation of Master Cleaning Schedule and uphold records of cleaning procedures to verify that all areas have been effectively cleaned and sanitized. 3. Assists Lead processor in fulfilling all facility processing work orders; sets up processing and packaging lines and equipment as necessary, product standards are met and work order recordkeeping is completed. 4. Maintains overall cleanliness of machines and storage areas and processing areas, warehouses, and office spaces; maintains pallets and organizes warehouses. 5. As required, receives and stores materials and supplies; prepares pallets, crates, etc. for shipment; assures shipments are properly loaded on trucks and paperwork is completed. 6.Facility Team Meetings:
Meets with Lead Processor and food safety coordinator daily to review work orders, production schedules and client needs. Participates in monthly or as scheduled facility team meetings. The employee is entitled to one 30 min. lunch and is expected to schedule such break conveniently around production activities.Supervisory Responsibilities:

The physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Normal office hours for the position are Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-6:30pm. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and stand for long periods processing. Employee is required to walk some distances through a manufacturing plant, climb stairs, bend, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. Must be able set up/take down various equipment, pack/move boxes, products and other processing related items and must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to use Sanitizing Chemicals including Bleach, Vinegar, and Alcohol.Pay:
