Job Description

Production Operator Stevensville, MT 59870 From $75,000 a year - Full-time From $75,000 a year - Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Operator to join our team at SemiLink Materials. This role reports to the Production Engineer and interfaces with all other departments within SemiLink Materials. This person will be responsible for fulfilling orders, recording production data, completing daily checks, conducting process operations and maintaining site cleanliness. Responsibilities
  • Work with other employees and departments to successfully complete tasks and maintain operational throughput.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
  • Interface with engineers and vendors to complete buildout and commissioning during plant expansion construction activities.
  • Inspect & test equipment regularly to identify required maintenance or repairs.
  • Evaluate equipment performance during processing; troubleshoot and recommend improvements.
  • Operate and maintain chemical processing equipment including, but not limited to, filling cabinets, removal cabinets, cleaning systems, reactors, distillation columns, boilers, chillers, scrubbers, and filters.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records and data, including KPIs and performance targets.
  • Complete daily checklists for production, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Work in cleanroom environments and perform tasks adhering to cleanliness requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles.
  • Maintain the work area to be clean, safe, and organized. Adhere to 5S policies and structures.
  • Record production data, equipment readings, and perform quality checks as required and interface with various software systems (MES/ERP) to complete orders.
  • Follow all required safety practices, such as hot work permits, safe work permits, confined space entry, etc.
  • Follow PPE requirements (Gloves, Fire Resistant Clothing, Respirators, Personal Monitors, etc).
  • Complete maintenance activities as required.
  • Adhere to ISO requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned. Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required. B.S. in a STEM field preferred.
  • Prefer 5+ years of industry experience, with a strong background in chemical equipment operation or maintenance such as petrochemical, refining, or pharmaceutical production.
  • Must be willing to complete
HAZWOPER
training.
  • Ability to travel for offsite training.
  • Experience interpreting detailed operating instructions and safety protocols such as lockout tagout, safe work permits, SDS sheets, and confined space entry.
  • Experience with the safe handling of hazardous, toxic, and flammable substances such as solvents and gases.
  • Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of manual and automated control systems.
  • Basic computer skills such as experience with Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and pass a medical evaluation
  • Prefer cleanroom experience.
  • Applicants with additional skill sets such as welding, fabrication, engineering, electrical, HVAC, and automation experience are given preference where applicable.
