Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cleaning Operator and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and efficient environment across our facilities. This energetic position involves performing thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks within industrial, manufacturing settings. Our Cleaning Operator is responsible for operating ultrasonic cleaning systems to remove contaminants, oils, particulates, and residues from metal parts, tubing, and assemblies. This role ensures components meet cleanliness standards required for downstream processes such as brazing, welding, assembly, coating, or inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate ultrasonic cleaning tanks, rinse stations, and drying equipment Load and unload parts using proper handling techniques to prevent damage or contamination Mix, monitor, and maintain cleaning solutions according to specifications Adjust cleaning parameters such as temperature, cycle time, frequency, and agitation
Quality & Inspection:
Inspect parts before and after cleaning for cleanliness, residue, spotting, or surface defects Use visual inspection, borescopes, or cleanliness gauges as required Verify parts meet cleanliness standards outlined in work instructions or engineering specifications Document inspection results and report nonconforming material .
Process Control & Documentation:
Follow established cleaning procedures, recipes, and work orders Maintain accurate records of cleaning cycles, solution changes, and chemical concentrations Track part quantities, lot numbers, and traceability information. Communicate with supervisors, quality personnel, and downstream departments.
Chemical Handling & Maintenance:
Monitor chemical levels, pH, concentration, and solution life; perform titration tests if required Replace or filter cleaning solutions according to maintenance schedules . Perform basic preventive maintenance on ultrasonic tanks, heaters, pumps, and filtration systems Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards .
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, PPE, and hot surfaces Ensure proper ventilation and safe storage of cleaning agents Use gloves, goggles, aprons, and other required protective equipment Participate in safety meetings and report hazards or near‑misses.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience operating ultrasonic cleaning equipment or similar industrial cleaning systems Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and production documentation Basic understanding of chemical handling, solution mixing, and concentration control Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, high‑quality parts Ability to stand, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment .
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in tube fabrication, heat‑exchanger manufacturing, aerospace, or precision cleaning environments Familiarity with aqueous cleaning systems, solvent cleaning, or passivation processes Lean manufacturing or 5S experience ERP/MRP system familiarity Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or chemical processes
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, heated tanks, and cleaning equipment Requires standing, bending, and repetitive handling of parts May involve working with various metals, tubing sizes, and assemblies
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
