Full-Time Senior Technician/ Project Lead About Batten & Company Batten & Company is a commercial facilities maintenance and construction services company serving national and regional clients throughout the Carolinas and surrounding markets. Our work supports major retail, grocery, healthcare, multifamily, and commercial customers including high-volume service programs and construction projects. Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician. This is not an entry-level maintenance position. The ideal candidate possesses advanced commercial maintenance and repair experience across multiple trades and can independently diagnose, plan, and execute repairs with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial facility issues independently Commercial carpentry repairs and installations Drywall repair, finishing and painting Door, frame and hardware installation and repair Ceiling grid and ceiling tile repairs Concrete and asphalt repairs Fence, gate and bollard repairs Flooring and fixture repairs Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting Preventive maintenance and inspections Read scopes of work and plans Document work through mobile work order systems Communicate professionally with customers and office staff Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment Preferred Skills Commercial carpentry Doors and hardware Drywall finishing Painting Flooring repairs Concrete and masonry repairs Fencing and gate systems Basic plumbing Basic electrical Commercial remodel and punch work Qualifications 5+ years commercial maintenance, facilities or construction experience Ability to work independently Strong troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license Ability to lift 75+ lbs Comfortable using mobile devices and work order systems Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay Company vehicle Fuel card Health insurance contribution 401(k) with company match Paid holidays Paid vacation
Vacation Schedule:
After 90 days: 5 days After 2 years: 10 days After 10 years: 15 days After 20 years: 20 days
