This vital contract opportunity calls for expertise in sterile processing, ensuring that medical instruments are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and distributed to meet clinical demand. For a 13-week engagement, your proficiency will help keep critical patient care running smoothly and safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent) Successful completion of an approved Sterile Processing Tech program Experience working in a hospital or clinical sterile processing environment Comprehensive understanding of sterilization standards and infection prevention protocols Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient safety
Key Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities, inventory, and equipment maintenance Collaborate with operating room and nursing teams to ensure timely supply of sterile instruments Adhere strictly to hospital and regulatory guidelines for infection control and patient safety Monitor biological and chemical indicators to ensure effectiveness of sterilization processes Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages as needed This position offers a dynamic hospital environment where your expertise will make a true impact on daily operations and patient care.
