Job Description

We are looking to hire a key member of our Operations team at our Belpre, Ohio location. The Controls Systems Engineering Coordinator supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of process control systems (e.g., PLCs, DCS, and instrumentation) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. They assist with troubleshooting, system optimization, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards while working closely with operations and reliability teams. Key Responsibilities
Provide Controls Systems technical support to manufacturing units, including daily operations and test runs
Conduct systems audits on controls platforms and develop obsolescence plans
Provide controls systems expertise and support for large capital projects
Lead Management of Change (MOC) activities and provide technical assurance review for Controls-related activities
Interface with engineering design contractors for controls systems scope
Apply and provide adherence to controls systems engineering standards
Develop and review project work execution documentations related to the controls discipline (e.g. DCS configuration database, complex loop descriptions, design and construction packages, etc.)
Assist in controls systems retrofits, upgrades, and re-instrumentation projects as assigned Required Skills
5•10 years of experience within the chemical processing industry.
Field instrumentation experience (valves, transmitters, motor controls)
Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving techniques and methodology.
Working knowledge of Process Safety Management principles and demonstrated safe work behaviors.
Batch programming experience preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively work with internal and external employees.
Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP OSHA 501 or similar training and extensive certifications.
Knowledge of Management of Change and AFE work processes.
Working knowledge of chemical plant technical documents including P&ID's, PFD's
Prior experience & exposure to process control, instrumentation, and automation systems.
Preferred platforms include:
Foxboro I/A DCS, Wonderware, Honeywell TDC3000, Modicon PLCs, Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs Education, Certifications & Licenses High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
