Job Description

The hours for the position would be 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Chemical Solvents Inc. has thrived for over 50 years in the Cleveland area providing commodity materials and blending services to a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, construction, manufacturing, and specialty chemicals. We are currently seeking an experienced Chemical Operator to join our team for chemical manufacturing and blending. The Chemical Operator will process customer orders while adhering to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures as well as adhere to all regulatory requirements. This position is an essential part of the production team and is relied upon to drive cultural focus on safety and producing quality materials for customer demand.
WILL BE EXPOSED TO YEAR-ROUND NATURAL ELEMENTS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Fulfill customer orders to customer-specific requirements. Work individually or as part of a team of 1-5. Follow batch formulations using the proper tools, equipment, and PPE. Utilize production reports with order specific notes and batch/repack information. Collaborate with other departments to fulfill customer orders requiring components from different production areas. Complete shift reports and production completion paperwork. Load and unload van trailers, bulk tanker trailers, railcars, etc. Maintain a clean work environment. Complete required Company and required regulatory agency training. Ensure compliance with Company, EPA, DOT, OSHA, and all other required safety policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualities Required:
High School Diploma or GED. 1+ year of chemical manufacturing experience. 1+ year of forklift experience. General mechanical aptitude. Ability to formulate plans to complete shift workloads efficiently. Lift/carry 50 lbs. for 100 ft.
WILL BE EXPOSED TO YEAR-ROUND NATURAL ELEMENTS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME.
Scale heights exceeding 15+ ft. without issue. Pass the Company wellness exam. Understand basic OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Proficiency with the Microsoft software suite; e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Self-motivated, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Experience with warehouse management software/hardware. Experience with ERP software (Datacor C/S).
Pay:
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
