Job Title:
Tissue Processing Technician Job Description The Nerve Processing Technician will perform debridement, processing, packaging, and labeling of human tissue products for surgical transplantation while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and AATB regulations. Responsibilities Perform processing, debridement, packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished products. Utilize special techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to clean and size tissue according to specifications and protocols. Assist the Team Lead in maintaining inventory levels on the core and dock for receiving supplies. Perform lab cleaning activities as required by policies, protocols, procedures, and SOPs. Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory staff to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and AATB regulations and requirements, particularly those pertaining to manufacturing. Accurately complete production documentation as required in Nerve processing in accordance with standard operating procedures and quality standards. Assist with production records as needed. Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Essential Skills Proficiency in human tissue processing and debridement. Experience with scalpel, forceps, and other tissue processing equipment. Ability to follow detailed protocols and procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree in science preferred but not required. Prior medical or healthcare experience is a plus. Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control is a plus. Experience in a regulated environment is highly desirable. Strong desire to be in the position long-term. Work Environment The position is based in a clean room environment where you must be comfortable wearing PPE provided by the company, including a lab coat, safety glasses, hairnet, and medical gloves. Work is conducted in teams of 8-12 depending on the shift. The available shift is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Candidates must be open to working overtime and may have to work some holidays depending on workload. The role offers significant opportunities for upward mobility as part of a rapidly growing company moving into a brand new state-of-the-art facility in Vandalia, OH. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
