Job Description
(We are advertising in Alva, OK. The position available is located about 10 miles north of Alva, OK) Job Description Under the supervision of Plant superintendent, support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company. The chemical plant operator is responsible for monitoring; and safely/efficiently operating iodine chemical extraction plant. which extracts, produces, and packages raw iodine. Operator must ensure the highest quality product is produced at the most efficient chemical usage rate and lowest possible production cost. while adhering to all environmental, health and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities, Demonstrate team work in all phases of operation Start up and shut down of chemical process Operate fluid transfer pumps of all kinds Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Prep, Package, and handle all product produced Troubleshoot equipment failures and process issues Operate pallet jack Operate forklift Maintain all housekeeping and preventative maintenance standards Obtain process samples for lab testing and evaluation. Document all work completed on shift including logs, data collection, and procedures. Participate in all training and re-training provided by company. Work Schedule (shifts may vary depending on plant needs) 12 hour shift, 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am work week is Thursday to Wednesday, 7 days on/7 days off monthly rotational schedule is required must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays Position Pay competitive starting wages at $17.00 an hour.
