Full Job Description The Company:
Join the Organic Milk Exchange (OME) team at our Pellet Mill facility in Hines. OME is a privately held, family-owned company that provides personnel and management services to several affiliated entities including BioDynamics, Basics markets, and Silver Sage Farms. Essential Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary. Responsible for maintaining a positive workplace in a food-manufacturing environment that promotes safety, quality, trust, and teamwork. Responsible for following food safety programs and reporting deficiencies to management. Perform and direct dairy product (milk, cheese, pudding, etc) production, including operation if equipment, documentation, quality control, continuous improvement. Operate lab testing equipment as applicable to ensure standards are in compliance and adjustments made to be within operating guidelines. Maintain daily production logs that are legible, neat and orderly. Performs sanitation tasks per standard operating procedures and frequencies. Perform preventive maintenance tasks. Perform inventory control tasks. Be available for other functions and special projects related to the success of the business. In the absence of the Production Operator; the Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for designating and delegating responsibilities. The Vice President of Manufacturing, Food Safety and Quality will ultimately be responsible for ensuring aspects of the role are maintained. Dairy Production Op I Dairy Production Op II Cut and Wrap Vat/HTST Pasteurizing Bottle/Crate Washing Filler Operation and Troubleshooting Tanker receiving Order building/data entry & Parity systems CIP's Cheese making (experienced) Equipment disassembly and set-up Problem solving and continuous improvement Cheese making (entry) Lead, coach and train
Job Qualifications:
Professional communications skills for both internal and external customers, co-workers and team members. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment. Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved. Basic understanding of equipment operations and minor troubleshooting ability. Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality and efficiency. Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance. Able to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment. Requires extended periods of standing, walking, climbing and sitting. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. Exposure to heat, cold, noise, machinery and cleaning chemicals. Able to travel as needed.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma/GED required. Ability to communicate effectively throughout organization.
