We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Production Media Laboratory Technician to join our Production Media Laboratory. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on laboratory and production work, follows processes carefully, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality results. What You'll Do As a Production Media Laboratory Technician, you will support the daily production of specialized sampling media and detection products used by occupational health and safety professionals. Working alongside our Production Media Laboratory Chemist, you will follow established procedures, operate laboratory and production equipment, and complete shop orders accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Following detailed laboratory procedures, manufacturing instructions, and production processes Preparing and dispensing non-hazardous or non-sensitive solutions used to produce treated sampling media Assembling chemical detection kits, filter cassettes, sorbent jars, colorimetric packs, and related components Completing treated media shop orders accurately and within established production timelines Operating and maintaining laboratory and production equipment in accordance with established procedures Maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment Supporting the proper labeling, handling, and storage of chemicals, materials, and finished products Recording production information and completing required documentation Communicating with the Production Media Laboratory Chemist and other departments to resolve questions and maintain workflow Identifying and reporting potential quality, safety, or production concerns What Will Help You Succeed We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing precise, repetitive work. You should be able to manage multiple priorities while consistently following detailed instructions and quality requirements.
Preferred qualifications include:
Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, laboratory science, or a related field; laboratory or manufacturing experience may be considered in place of a degree Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to follow written procedures, formulas, and production instructions Strong organizational and time-management skills Comfort working with laboratory equipment, chemicals, and manufacturing materials Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team Ability to safely and comfortably lift at least 50 pounds Consistent attendance and reliability Why Join SKC?
