Description Position Summary The Chemical Operator supports the production, mixing, and packaging of Extrude Hone's polymer-based media. This cross-trained role works across both Media Polymer and Media Mix production areas, providing operational flexibility to meet production demands while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Media Production Operations Set up, operate, monitor, shut down, and clean production equipment in accordance with work orders and process specifications.
Load raw materials into production equipment and unload, package, and prepare finished products for shipment.
Perform general production activities, including machine loading/unloading and material handling.
Follow production schedules to meet quality, productivity, and delivery requirements.
Perform Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM) flow quality testing for base materials and finished media.
Understand key process variables and their impact on product quality and production yield.
Work with appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve production or media performance issues.
Work with appropriate personnel to identify and resolve media performance issues in a timely manner.
Complete work orders and maintain accurate production records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Monitor designated raw material inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel when replenishment is required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform assigned duties in compliance with company policies, ISO procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma, trade school certificate, or equivalent required.
Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to use small hand tools.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to understand and follow ISO procedures and quality standards.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods.
Bend, climb, stoop, and reach above shoulder level.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Possess the manual dexterity to safely operate production equipment.
