Job Description
Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator will ensure efficiencies in printing machine operation. This position involves working with a team lead and being responsible for feeding/loading materials while ensuring production goals are met. Responsibilities Feed and load materials onto the printing machine. Consistently lift up to 75 lbs. Verify that the correct product is being loaded. Change colors when required. Operate a pallet jack. Read and follow work instructions. Feed a printing press and aerate the board on an aerator. Set-up and run the feeder. Assist the press operator with cleaning the press and cylinders, and removal of plates. Maintain chemicals and rags on the press. Monitor the coating process and ink wells. Gather press supplies to help the press operator run the machine efficiently. Monitor the flow of paper, checking and clearing paper jams. Follow quality and safety guidelines and company policies. Assist in operator-level maintenance. Perform other duties related to operating the press. Essential Skills Experience in production, general labor, or general production. Proficiency in using a tape measure. Ability to load and unload products safely. Experience in machine operation and packaging. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude. Work Environment This position operates in a climate-controlled facility. Training will be on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 4 AM to 2:30 PM. Eventually, the position will transition to the 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 2:30 PM to 1 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
