Job Description

SUMMARY Perform all tasks involved in the production of MCA-PPD's resins/plastic compounds including batch mixing, extruder operation, housekeeping, health and safety . Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is run in an efficient and safe manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The functions below are not all inclusive of the duties for this position. Other responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary. 1. Responsible for production productivity and quality. 2. Building production recipes and monitoring the production lines. 3. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. 4. Comply with all Safety procedures, including PPE, LOTO and safe lifting techniques, ensuring Operator safety for themselves as well as coworkers. 5. Attend Shift Team Meetings (Start of Shift). 6. Assist with line clearing, product changeover and prescribed preventative maintenance as required. 7. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Supervisor. 8. Responsible for maintaining plant cleanliness. 9. Complete daily checklists. 10. Successful completion of training book (APO) within 90-day probationary period. 11. Participate in all Safety Requirements (training, Safety Observations, Safety Meetings, and 6S Audits). 12. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. 13.
Work the schedule rotation:
12-hour shifts, 4 days on/4 days off. Shifts will rotate every 4 weeks from Days (7a-7p) to Nights (7p-7a).
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1.
High School Diploma or GED. 2. The position will be required to perform basic math, read and write English. 3. Must successfully complete and pass a pre-employment/post-offer physical and drug screen.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES 1.
Must be able to successfully obtain a power industrial license (forklift) per company requirements. 2. Must be able to read and write. 3. Must be able to perform repetitive work. 4. Must have strong mathematical skills and an understanding of metric and standard measurements and conversions. 5. Must be able to adhere to all safety requirements per OSHA standards. 6. Basic understanding of and the ability to use a computer. 7. Must be detail orientated and capable of following standard work instructions. 8. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced environment. 9. Able to work independently and collaboratively with others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and sit. The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to move from a controlled atmosphere to a plant ambient condition several times a day. The employee is required to type, reach with hands and arms; grasp and handle small objects. The employee is required to possess visual acuity essential to examine and prepare documents. Must be able to work any shift (24-hour operation) and mandatory scheduled overtime.
