Job Description
Production Technician Job Description We are seeking skilled Production & Postproduction Packagers who will be responsible for utilizing custom machinery to efficiently cut, chop, pulverize, mix, and blend ingredients. This role involves loading raw materials into machinery to prepare and formulate powders. Additionally, Postproduction Packagers will capsulize and package finished products in various formats including pouches, bottles, and boxes. Responsibilities Operate custom machinery to cut, chop, pulverize, mix, and blend ingredients. Load raw materials into machinery to prepare and formulate powders. Capsulize and package finished products in pouches, bottles, and boxes. Read work instructions and spec sheets to follow customer orders. Measure product to dispense into containers, bottles, pouches, or other packaging formats. Set up, adjust, and monitor sealing equipment to ensure proper closure and integrity of the package. Inspect filled and sealed products for correct weight, fill level, seal quality, labeling, and overall appearance. Perform routine equipment checks, including cleaning, sanitizing, and minor adjustments. Record production data, including batch numbers, quantities, downtime, and quality checks. Load materials such as containers, caps, lids, and packaging components into machines. Remove defective products and report recurring issues to supervisors or maintenance. Follow safety, GMP, and quality standards, especially in food, pharmaceutical, or chemical environments. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in general production. Experience using machines to load materials into packaging. Material sorting experience. Proficiency in operating filling, production line, and mixing equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience weighing products to the milligram. Previous experience in a food/beverage manufacturing plant. Work Environment Our facility operates on two shifts, with the front half scheduled from Sunday to Wednesday and the back half from Wednesday to Saturday. You must be available between 7 am and 7 pm Monday through Friday, working a 10-hour shift within these hours. All rooms are climate and moisture controlled. Please note, you must sign a non-disclosure agreement for supplement recipes and cannot have dairy or shellfish allergies. This is a non-smoking facility with required PPE, including hair nets, coats, gloves, and booties. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buda, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
