Key Responsibilities- Entry level colleague who participates in training, learning about Greif systems, and assisting to set up, monitor and troubleshoot blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion molding machinery.
- Assists in the setup of machinery for different production runs, following established procedures to ensure smooth transitions. Communicates machinery issues to maintenance.
- Assists in the operation of plastic molding, extrusion, and other plastic processing equipment.
- Learns and helps monitor the production process, ensuring that machines are running efficiently and producing high-quality products.
- Performs routine maintenance duties on cleaning and basic adjustments to machinery.
- Troubleshoots minor machine issues under the supervision of senior technicians.
- Documents production data, maintenance activities, and quality data observed during the production.
- Performs basic quality control checks, ensuring products meet required specifications and industry standards.
- Participates in quality assurance activities such as inspection and testing of products.
- Works closely with senior technicians, operators, and supervisors to ensure daily production operation.
- Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines while performing tasks.
- Prepares raw materials and additives for use in production.
- Loads materials into machinery and ensure proper feeding during production runs.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Experience
- Typically possesses a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of plastic manufacturing processes.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery operations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing se.
