Preparation/Formulation Technician Duration:
6 month contract (potential of extension or conversion)
Location:
Pleasant Prairie, WI Shift:
12 hour shifts (2-2-3) This role is required to bring the area into service and may include formulation, aseptic isolator barrier filling, and equipment preparation. Technicians will become subject matter experts within their assigned area and educate team members on proper operation of the facility. This role will be responsible for ensuring continuous supply of medicines by expertly running processes, troubleshooting issues, collaborating cross-functionally, and maintaining a safety-first, quality-focused mindset. Technicians will support daily manufacturing activities to meet capacity plans while developing both their own capabilities and those of the broader team. Key Objectives / Deliverables Provide support on the manufacturing floor, ensuring high levels of safety, quality, and productivity to maintain reliable supply of products to patients. Maintain a safe work environment by exemplifying safe work practices and supporting Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) goals. Perform activities required to meet production schedules. Assist with execution documentation, including Electronic Batch Records (EBR), SAP transactions, and cleaning logs.
Execute departmental objectives focused on:
o Improving safety performance o Reducing deviations o Increasing productivity o Maintaining training compliance Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot and triage operational challenges. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Experience with, completion of, or understanding of: Leadership and the ability to train and mentor team members. STEM-related degrees, certifications, or technical training. Aseptic filling operations, single-use assemblies, and isolator technology. Automated, semi-automated, and/or manual inspection processes. Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Manufacturing or operations environments. Pharmaceutical, medical device, or food processing industries. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and electronic batch release processes. Continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma). Highly automated manufacturing equipment (inspection, packaging, filling, assembly, etc.). SAP and Electronic Batch Record (EBR) systems Time Commitments & Work Authorization Expected to work a rotating 2-2-3 day or night shift schedule (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) once fully trained. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, shoes, and gloves. Ability to work and gown in a cleanroom environment (Grade
C / ISO 8
). Commitment to ongoing professional development and training. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pay:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour
