Job Description

About the Role As a Precision CNC Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing success by producing high-quality components that meet rigorous engineering standards. You will leverage your expertise in CNC and conventional machining to drive production efficiency and ensure the integrity of every part produced. Responsibilities Configure and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders, to meet precise print tolerances. Optimize machining parameters such as feeds, speeds, and overrides to ensure consistent repeatability and high-quality output. Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications to accurately execute production tasks and process documentation. Perform rigorous quality inspections using precision metrology tools to verify dimensions against engineering requirements. Proactively manage tool life and monitor for wear to prevent production downtime and ensure optimal performance. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by applying 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of two years of professional experience in a machining environment. Proficiency in setting up and operating both CNC and manual lathes and mills. Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering specifications. Expertise in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Solid mathematical aptitude for calculating machining variables and dimensions. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Skills Technical degree or specialized certification in machining. Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing tools, including Kanban, visual management, and root cause analysis. Demonstrated ability to mentor or train junior operators in best practices. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing setting.
