Job Description

CNC Operator Position Purpose:
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision parts. This position ensures products meet quality standards, specifications, and production timelines while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Functions:
Operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or other equipment) according to work instructions and setup parameters Load raw materials and unload finished parts safely and efficiently Monitor machine operations and identify any irregularities or malfunctions Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Document production results and report any quality or production issues to supervisors Adjust machine offsets or settings within authorized limits to maintain part quality Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE Assist with basic machine maintenance and tool changes as needed Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals Actively participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment. Follow policies, programs, and procedures for the reduction and elimination of work-related accidents and provide quality feedback to promote safer work behaviors and condition
Education and Training:
High school diploma or GED required Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic blueprints Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to use measuring tools with accuracy Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Experience operating CNC equipment in a production environment Familiarity with machine controls and basic offset adjustments Knowledge of machining concepts and tooling Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to follow instructions and work independently Effective communication and teamwork skills Good organizational and time-management abilities Focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop. Frequent twisting, turning, reaching, bending, pulling and pushing are also required. The employee must be able to handle up to 60 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

Pay & Benefits Rate:
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the hourly payrate for this position is $19.50-$24.38. This payrate is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
