Computer Numerical Control Operator-CNC Job Overview
DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY A LEADING MANUFACTURER OF SPECIAL TRAILERS
This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain iTNC530 and iTNC640 controls Run programs, set tool offsets, and adjust speeds and feeds during the machining process to optimize efficiency Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges Conduct quality inspections and verify dimensional accuracy of machined parts using measuring instruments Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting Adhere to strict OSHA and facility safety guidelines, wearing proper PPE Follow all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications Professional experience as a CNC Machinist, Lath Operator or Milling Machinist Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools Experience in single part or small batch machining Strong shop math and geometry skills; proficiency with controls Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed Must have a US Passport and be able to train in Europe for 8 weeks.
