• 9PM Monday
• Friday. Reporting to the Production Lead, Operator role involves the following:
• This position will be trained to Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathes and mills.
• Learn to perform machine set-ups, adjusting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, on machined parts to specifications set forth in, drawings.
• Checks machined parts for conformance to part prints using basic shop inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, sine plates, etc.)
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
• Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine
• Learn to load program in machine or enters commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from data base
• Discusses programming opportunities of improvement with supervisor to resolve problems or improve performance.
• Clean machine, tooling, and parts
• Perform machine maintenance
• Clean-up of work area, and other areas of the facility as asked adhering to 5S principles
• May be asked to assist in other plant functions under direct supervision of the shop team lead
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to better a department or company
• Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
• Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• This position may require long hours and weekend work due to production, rework or customer deadlines
• Experience with CNC Haas lathe is a plus.

Requirements:

• Ability to set up cutting tools and prove out new programs using set up sheets
• 1-2 years of relative experience required
• Experience working with CNC lathes and mills required Salary Depends on experience. $17
